Long Term Care Ombudsman (Temporarily Remote)

Long Term Care Ombudsman:
This position reports to the Regional Ombudsman under the supervision of the Planning & Grants Manager. Full-Time Long-Term Care Ombudsman is a resident/participant-centered advocacy program responsible for casework, rights of residents, resolving problems to protect and improve the quality of life for residents in long term care facilities through regular visits.
The Ombudsman will
- Work with resident, family members, and resident councils
- Conduct virtual visits
- Collaborate with team members (team of 5 Ombudsman)
- Record keeping in State portal
Competencies: Experience in MS Office and Outlook. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication skills, ethical conduct, detail oriented, interpersonal skills, and team player.
Requirements: 4 Year College/University Degree, Valid Driver’s License, Availability to Travel Days/Evenings, Availability to work weekends occasionally. Passage of Background Check

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (depending on experience)
The organization has developed safety and health guidelines for employees. Including but not limited to the majority of the staff working remotely; requirement that employees wear masks when in the office or visiting facilities in-person.
